This help page provides information on how to handle calendar invitations from "Unknown Senders" in Google Calendar. A recent policy change by Google aims to combat spam, affecting all third-party scheduling tools, including Leadmonk. To ensure a smooth experience, please follow the instructions below.
Automatic Addition of Calendar Invitations
By default, calendar events created through invitations will only be added automatically if you have had previous interaction with the invitee. However, for first-time bookings, the calendar event will not be added automatically. First-time invitees are required to confirm their booking by clicking on a confirmation link within their email inbox.
Enabling Automatic Addition
Google Calendar users can change this setting at anytime from within their account. To allow calendar invitations to be added automatically to your Google Calendar, please follow these steps:
- Access your Google Calendar account.
- Click on "Settings" located on the top right-hand side of your Google Calendar interface.
- In the "General" section, select "Event Settings."
- Under the "Add invitations to my calendar" option, choose "From everyone."
Adding Senders to Safe Senders List
To facilitate the automatic addition of events to your Google Calendar, you can add the email address of the sender to your safe senders list. Follow these steps:
- When presented with an invitation, click on the "I know the sender" button.
- This action will add the sender's email address to your Google Calendar safe senders list.
Confirmation of Invitations
Once you have made the necessary settings, you will receive event invitations directly in your Google Calendar. To ensure an invitation is added to your calendar, please follow these steps:
- Open the event invitation in your Google Calendar.
- Click on the "Yes" button to confirm and add the event to your Google Calendar.
We hope this information helps you manage calendar invitations effectively in Google Calendar. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our support team for assistance.
