TABLE OF CONTENTS
When a customer schedules an appointment with you through our platform, we will automatically send both you and your invitee a notification with all the booking details.
By default, Leadmonk offers two types of notifications to choose from:
- Calendar Invitation (most common)
- Email Confirmation
Both options provide detailed information about the booking, including date, time, location, and any additional notes or instructions.
To help you decide which notification type works best for you, we've created the following tables to outline some of the differences between calendar invitations and email confirmations. Take a look at the information below and choose the notification option that works best for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our support team for assistance.
Note: If you're looking for information about email reminders, follow-ups, text notifications or Workflows, check our workflow feature.

Notifying invitees about changes to scheduled events
If you need to change anything on your calendar event, like location, you'll need to use calendar invitations for your invitee to see the change.
|Invitee will receive changes to calendar event
|YES, since your invitee is listed as an attendee on the calendar event.
|NO, since your invitee has added a separate event (ics) file to their calendar.
Which notification works best for you?
When it comes to notifying invitees about your upcoming meetings, calendar invitations are typically the most straightforward option. However, it's worth taking a look at the lists below to see if there are any special cases where you might want to opt for an alternative notification method.
When it's best to use calendar invitations
- You use the following calendars: Google, Office 365, Outlook.com, or Exchange
- You need to make changes to the event on your calendar, and you want those changes to send to your invitee.
- You want calendar invitations to send from your calendar account, rather than from firstname.lastname@example.org.
When it's best to use email confirmations

- You're hosting a group event, which will default to an email confirmation.
