Not getting SMS or WhatsApp message from Leadmonk?

Modified on Wed, 10 May, 2023 at 1:58 PM

Leadmonk's text message notifications can help you reduce no-shows and keep your invitees informed about upcoming appointments. Invitees can choose to receive appointment updates via SMS or WhatsApp at the time of booking.

If you're not receiving SMS or WhatsApp messages from Leadmonk, it may be due to the following reasons:

  • The feature is only available to users on paid subscription plans (Professional plan and above), not on the free plan.
  • SMS or WhatsApp messages will only be sent if your account has enough text message credits. Check the details on text message credits usage by country on this help page. Your text message credit balance is displayed on the app home page (shown in the red color box). To purchase more credits, click the "add more" button which takes you to the Leadmonk Billing and Subscription page to purchase text message credits.

  • If you, as the meeting host, are not receiving notifications on your mobile number, make sure it is connected in your account profile. See step 7 on this help page for more information on how to connect your mobile number to your account profile.

  • If you have sufficient text message credits and the workflow is not activated in your event type, then appointment confirmation messages will be sent by default as SMS/WhatsApp to invitees who provide a mobile number while booking an appointment, and reminders will only be sent if they are defined by clicking "+NEW REMINDER" (when the workflow is not activated) on the event type page.

  • If the workflow is enabled in the event type, check whether sending text message is defined as an action for appointment triggers. Also check to whom (organizer or invitee) the action is linked to.

  • Ensure your invitee has provided a valid mobile number on the appointment booking page. If the number is invalid, messages will not be delivered.
  • If the invitee has provided a valid number but chosen WhatsApp, messages will not be delivered if their number is not set up on WhatsApp.
  • If you have customized SMS templates, be aware carrier may drop those messages if they are not as per Telecom authority approved message templates. This requirement is there in certain countries, such as India.
  • If text messages are still not working, contact us at [email protected]
